Chief's Report: - Wildfire Mitigation: Currently in planning phase; working with landowners and HOA's to get mitigation work done on their property as well. Pamphlets and info sheets for residents in progress. Wildland fire awareness events also in the works. - Ladder Truck: In progress; photo shared. - Bylaws: Revisions in progress. Rough draft to be completed week of 3/11. Rough draft to be distributed and reviewed prior to April meeting.
Member Roundtable - Fireworks: Pursuing volunteer group to handle fireworks moving forward. This will be required moving forward to continue doing fireworks. Training and stipend will be supplied for this group. Interested parties: Dack Klein, Justin Clark, Chris Miller, Roman Reinke, Nathan Judd, Tom Tyler, Tyler Ferguson, Sam Tyler.
Extrication at Altitude - Chief request: will OVFD use funds to support Extrication training weekend as we did last year? Motion made to split total cost with Ridgway up $15,000 from Ouray. Motion made/Seconded/Approved

Chief's report - Ladder truck being repaired. Spin table not being replaced. Chief working with Forest Service and West Region Fire Council on wildland fire mitigation in Ouray. Focused on awareness and voluntary mitigation. Community awareness - 4/22 4-7pm and 5/17 12-3pm @ Ouray firehouse on fire mitigation. 4th of July - city working on alternative plans if fireworks can't be shot.
New business - Radio being programmed on Monday, 4/20. All radios need to be at the station for reprogramming by Sunday, 4/19. Chief needs three firefighters to participate in wildfire awareness video. Fireman's banquet is 5/2 @ Kami's at 5pm. Council members, city administrators, and retired members will be invited. Active members can bring a significant other. Potential to replace annual picnic with potluck. Keep the Christmas party. Kyle Easley resignation from the department. Firehouse cleaning Tuesday 4/21 @ 4pm.
